Not the perfect picture, but heres a picture of a crack on my ruler. Things that should not be done:
1) I used a high ISO (as the tripod was...) which is not recommended. The noise wasnot intentionally added to create texture in this case and might be a bit of distraction. So stick to base ISOs for still life.
2) The piece of paper wasnt completly white (and had words beneath it) so... you can see that the picture has a slight yellow cast (and also the words).
