HITCOUNTER

Thursday, October 18, 2007

Exams are over. If you're bored and want to try out something new then perhaps you can try digital cross processing. Just walk around with your camera, look for nice subjects and shoot shoot. Digital cross processing is great for, but not limited to, people shots. There are quite a few ways to achieve a cross-processed look. I usually just mess around with the curves on photoshop.

1. Get a picture, open up in photoshop (can use school photoshop or loan from kelvin) and go to image> adjustments> curves
2. In the new window that's opened up you will see a drop-down menu that says RGB. Click on that and you will see the curves for the Red, Green and Blue channels individually.
3. Just go crazy with these 4 curves (RGB, Red, Green and Blue).
4. If you want, after the curves you can also go crazy with the colour balance.

Can get some tutorials from here, some examples of Red, Blue and Green curves.
